Reads DeepSeek Harness assistant replies aloud through IndexTTS 2.5 or GPT-SoVITS that the plugin starts for you: it launches a thin JSONL worker, sends one natural sentence per request and plays the audio in the browser with no WebUI page required. It is a connector and process launcher rather than a model distribution - it never installs, trims or retrains TTS models, only starts the executable and worker command you configure, and can run alongside the original dsh-plugin-tts.
dsh-localtts reads DeepSeek Harness assistant replies aloud through a local IndexTTS 2.5 or GPT-SoVITS model the plugin starts for you. It is a connector and process launcher, not a model distribution: it starts a thin JSONL worker and sends one natural sentence per request, then plays the audio through browser Web Audio, reusing the original plugin's message buttons, Auto Read toggle, Edge/RVC providers and pause/stop controls. It discovers known paths only inside the selected project/wrapper folder (never scanning whole disks or installing dependencies), keeps IndexTTS and GPT-SoVITS project/model/voice profiles separate so switching engines restores that engine's previous paths, and ships validation boundaries plus thin example adapters in the repo.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:abbccdd/dsh-localttsCopied verbatim from the README's Install block (github: form; the client bundle is committed so this source needs no build script). A file: local-checkout form and a v0.1.11 release archive are also documented.
Compatibility
Requires a DeepSeek Harness web profile with webServer, session/event and client UI slots, Node.js 22+, a browser with Web Audio, and an existing IndexTTS 2.5 or GPT-SoVITS installation (Python environment + model files). Harness 0.1 (from 0.1.0-rc.6) and 0.2 (from 0.2.0-rc.2) share one plugin package; the peer range keeps an upper bound at the next minor family. It detects the original dsh-plugin-tts and enables Local companion mode, and its package/routes/settings/UI ids are independent so both can be installed together.
