Its optional DSH plugin registers the kit- tools and materials as .dsh/skills/kit-, so a DSH session gets the P0 verification gate (exit 2 = hard stop), Harness process commands and IDE-style landing driven from a task.md, alongside host validate / host apply / init / verify CLI entry points. SpecWave was formerly SpecGate / dsh-coding-kit.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add spec-waveCopied verbatim from the README's 'Entry A · DSH plugin' section. The README stresses that dsh-coding-kit is deprecated — do not add the old name — and that a plain npm install is not enough (without the bundle layer the tools will not appear). A GitHub form dsh plugin --profile web add github:Cyning12/SpecWave#main is also documented.
Compatibility
Requires Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0 (Node 20 and earlier fail the engines check). The README warns that loading the plugin does not by itself rewrite the system prompt: apply() only registers tools, and later turns contain # Coding Standards only after you or the model calls apply_coding_standards. DSH is an optional host alongside Cursor and Claude Code.
