drscrewdriver/dsh-date-wrapper

Compresses the date context DeepSeek Harness injects on every request: instead of the ~280-character dsh-time-context block landing as one message per pre-step, a single 46-character line ('Current date: 2026-09-08 Asia/Shanghai Tuesday') is hung on the runtime-context snapshot DSH already sends, so it is re-sent only when the text changes. The plugin imports nothing from @deepseek-ai/*, patches no source and reads no session data.

dsh-date-wrapper compresses the date context DeepSeek Harness injects on every request. DSH's own @deepseek-ai/dsh-time-context injects roughly 280 characters of metadata per eligible step as a user/message event; this plugin compresses the same information into a single 46-character line — 'Current date: 2026-09-08 Asia/Shanghai Tuesday' (~12 tokens, an 84% reduction) — and moves where it lands, hanging it on the platform runtime-context snapshot (systemPrompt.context) instead of the message stream. Because it re-sends with the snapshot only when the text changes, there are effectively zero extra events within a day. The plugin does not load dsh-time-context, add session messages, patch DSH source or require a PR; it solves a granularity problem the shipped time-context injection creates.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:drscrewdriver/dsh-date-wrapper

Copied verbatim from the README's install line (GitHub form). Translations of the README and installation guide exist in ten languages (zh/ja/ko/fr/de/it/ru/es/…); the English README is the source.

Compatibility

Contracts exactly one host point — systemPrompt.context({ name, order, text }). It registers no settings namespace, reads no session data and makes no RPC call, imports zero packages from @deepseek-ai/* (stricter than the usual runtime-detection + dual-API-fallback pattern), and has no browser half. It overlaps @deepseek-ai/dsh-time-context, so the README says do not use both — and since it is not installed by default it is off by default. Supported hosts span 15 rc releases across the 0.1.0 → 0.2.0 lines, all runtime-verified.
