drshy-org/lightroom-py

lightroom-py drives Adobe Lightroom Classic from an agent - a verified programmatic path for mask creation and AI-mask compute - exposing 62 bridge handlers and 80 CLI verbs over catalog search, metadata and XMP, develop settings, tone curves, snapshots, collections and export, installable as a DeepSeek Harness bundle whose tools appear as mcp__lightroom_py__*.

lightroom-py drives Adobe Lightroom Classic from an agent, with verified programmatic mask creation (a 35.4% pixel-diff confirmed) and a documented AI-mask compute path. It covers the catalog (open/info/stats), photo filtering (rating, camera, lens, keyword, date, colour label, format, ISO, aperture, focal length, GPS) over a SQLite fast path, selection and flags, metadata and XMP (hierarchical keywords, IPTC, ExifTool fast path), develop globals and typed settings (crop, HSL, colour grade, transform, lens correction, calibration, detail, effects), tone curves with per-channel support, snapshots as safety checkpoints, targeted resets, masks (list/clear plus verified radial creation with 20+ Local adjustments), collections, library export with watermarking, output sharpening, resizing and filename templates, Edit-In roundtrips, and dev tools including bridge reload, bridge eval and bridge tail-log. Its install is one command (lightroom setup) that wires the LR plugin, a macOS LaunchAgent and a Claude agent skill; lightroom doctor verifies the install, and features Adobe's SDK genuinely does not expose (AI Denoise compute, brush-mask creation, spot-removal create, photo deletion) are documented as not implementable rather than faked.

Install

dsh plugin add github:drshy-org/lightroom-py

Copied verbatim from the README's dsh install line, where the trailing comment # the bundle; tools appear as mcp__lightroom_py__* is part of the line; the README's main flow uses pip install lightroom-py plus lightroom setup.

Compatibility

The DSH bundle exposes Lightroom tools as mcp__lightroom_py__*. On macOS, LaunchAgents cannot read TCC-protected paths (~/Documents, ~/Desktop, ~/Downloads, ~/Pictures, ~/Movies, ~/Music) without Full Disk Access, so the README recommends installing the venv outside those directories; lightroom setup and bridge install-service detect protected paths and refuse with instructions. On Windows the bridge is started manually.
