Pick Cloud (SSH) in DSH's workspace picker and the coding agent works directly on a remote Linux server: bash, read, write, edit, glob and grep all execute transparently over standard SSH channels, with no remote agent or daemon to install. It adds a dual-tab workspace picker, session-scoped shadow tools with the official terminal/read/search presenters, background jobs, a host manager with password/key auth and ProxyJump, and a remote directory browser.
dsh-cloud-workspaces lets the DeepSeek Harness coding agent work directly on a remote Linux server. Pick Cloud (SSH) in the dual-tab workspace picker, and cloud workspaces are adopted by DSH's official workspace registry and shown in every session picker as host / path; when a session's cwd falls under a cloud placeholder the plugin registers same-named bash / read / write / edit / glob / grep / read_image tools into that session's own agent scope, so the agent keeps calling the tools it knows while every call executes over standard SSH channels (exec / SFTP / PTY via ssh2) — and it implements the official presentCall / presentResult presenters so chat rows render as native terminal / read / search cards. run_in_background: true on bash / ssh_exec starts a first-class DSH job (job_output / job_list / job_kill, completion notices, jobs UI) so installs, builds and test suites never hit an exec timeout. A Settings → SSH Connections card manages hosts (display name, host, port, user; password auth that is keyboard-interactive aware, or a private key with ssh-agent fallback), one-click connection tests, a remote directory browser that can create/delete folders and bind any directory as a cloud workspace, and ProxyJump jump-host chains. Explicit agent tools (ssh_list / ssh_exec / ssh_ls / ssh_read / ssh_write / ssh_workspace) are available from any session. Host configuration lives in a private per-user file under ~/.dsh/ with owner-only permissions; passwords are never written to DSH's settings store, the settings card sees a redacted view, and remote file reads are capped with large files streamed rather than buffered.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-cloud-workspacesCopied verbatim from the README's Install → From npm block. The README also documents a from-source build (pnpm build) linked in with dsh plugin --profile web add link:<path>.
Compatibility
Requires DSH (web profile), Node ≥ 22 and a reachable SSH server; the server needs nothing beyond a standard OpenSSH install — no remote agent or daemon. Restart dsh web after installing or rebuilding, because the host half loads in the Node process. Local workspaces are never affected: the remote tool shadowing is scoped to sessions bound to a cloud workspace.
