dsh-web-search-tavily-relay gives the DeepSeek Harness web seam (ctx.web) a Tavily-backed search provider whose endpoint, credential and wire protocol are all configurable, so a relay or gateway domain works exactly like the official one. Where Tavily's official MCP server hardcodes its endpoints to api.tavily.com and bypasses the ctx.web seam (forcing the model to choose between two parallel tool sets), this plugin is the seam-native route. It reads sources from structured evidence only — Tavily's results[], a Responses payload's url_citation annotations and web_search_call sources, or a Chat payload's annotations — falling back to the answer's markdown links when a gateway returns no annotations. Configuration covers provider id, protocol, base URL, API key or key env, auth style, model, search depth, topic, result cap, includeAnswer and raw content, domain filters and the Responses/Chat tool options.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:hjnvv00v/dsh-web-search-tavily-relayCopied verbatim from the README's install line (a github: spec to the repo itself). Everything (endpoint, credential, wire protocol) is configurable on the plugin's page under Plugins in the Web sidebar, or written into the profile's cordis.patch.yml. The package ships a cordis.patch.yml, so a plain dsh plugin add is enough on its own.
Compatibility
One provider, three wire protocols, one configurable endpoint: tavily (POST {base}/search, the default), openai-responses (POST {base}/responses with the native web_search tool) and openai-chat (POST {base}/chat/completions with web_search_options), with aliases accepted. The endpoint may be a base or a complete URL, and auth is configurable (auto/bearer/body/header/none, with a header name and scheme). Credentials are best referenced via apiKeyEnv (default TAVILY_API_KEY) so no secret enters the settings file.
