A DSH session-title plugin that condenses a full sentence into a single word for easier recall. It leaves the official title logic untouched and changes only the system prompt — four hard rules plus six correct/incorrect examples — so "expression of modern Chinese semi-classical grammar in English" becomes "expression of semi-classical grammar" instead of a long verbatim echo.
dsh-brief-session-title makes DSH session titles short and scannable. The official first-prompt-llm plugin often outputs a full sentence that lands verbatim in the sidebar ('Explain what JavaScript closures are'); the plugin's diagnosis is that the official prompt's only length constraint is a soft 'aim for about 5 words'. It keeps all official logic untouched and changes exactly one thing — the system prompt — adding four hard rules (plain English for English output, a literary-vernacular hybrid for Chinese output, avoid verbs, shrink to under 5 words) plus six correct/incorrect example pairs, so '用英语表达中国近代半文言文文法' becomes '半文言文法表达' and 'Fixing Memory Leak in Node' becomes 'Node memory leak'. It takes over automatically (shutting the official provider down on load), behaves identically to the official plugin for streaming generation and fallback, and exposes input byte cap, output token cap and timeout as configuration. New titles only apply to new sessions; a user-renamed title is never overwritten; removing the plugin restores the official title plugin.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:Relethe/dsh-brief-session-titleCopied verbatim from the README's Installation block, which also shows the npm-name form dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-brief-session-title if the package is published, and a local-checkout form dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-brief-session-title. The README says to restart DSH so new titles take effect.
Compatibility
A dsh bundle: because the package declares dsh.bundle, dsh plugin add joins it to the profile's bundle layer automatically and its own cordis.patch.yml disables the official title plugin and mounts this one. It is mutually exclusive with the official session-title-first-prompt-llm plugin, so exactly one title generator stays active; on model error, timeout or empty output it falls back to the official deterministic fallback title.
