Use your logged-in web AI (DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Qwen, Doubao) as model providers inside DeepSeek Harness, with no API keys.

Harness Web Bridge lets you use your logged-in web AI (DeepSeek, GLM/Z.ai, Kimi, Qwen, Doubao) as model providers inside DeepSeek Harness, with no API keys — it drives the site through your own browser login. The web model only proposes tool calls; DSH runs them under its native permission and approval system, and the results return into the same web session. A per-session cursor keeps the web conversation alive across turns, restarts and history rewrites, replaying the full first turn if the web session is lost rather than silently starting over. The actual site is rendered in the DSH right sidebar through a same-origin mirror so you can type, scroll and click, and login state persists. Over-threshold prompts are delivered as a file attachment to bypass the composer's write-stall and truncation limits, with automatic fallback to plain text. Per-site and global settings cover model, instruction, send gap and prompt-delivery mode (fallback chain: site override → global → built-in default), and a configurable send gap plus backoff-and-retry handles the site's own rate limits. DeepSeek is the primary, validated target; GLM is usable but unstable, and Kimi/Qwen/Doubao/Z.ai are wired up but not validated over long runs.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-webcode-bridge

Copied verbatim from the README's 'Install' → 'From npm (recommended)' section (the same line also appears in the header). Note the npm package name is dsh-webcode-bridge even though the repository/directory is dsh-web-bridge. The README also documents a release-tarball channel (dsh plugin --profile web add C:\path\to\dsh-webcode-bridge-<version>.tgz) and a from-source build; the README stresses that you must restart dsh web after installing, because installing only swaps files on disk while the running process still has the old code loaded.

Compatibility

Node.js 22.13 or newer; DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.6 or newer; the plugin ships its own Chromium (Playwright), so no browser install is required (a system browser is only a fallback). Installed into the web profile via a standard profile add, and surfaced in DSH Web: the site appears in the DSH right sidebar through the official @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-sidebar-right tabs (no third-party sidebar plugin), with a Settings → Web Bridge panel for global and per-site configuration.

FAQ

Do I need API keys?
No. The README states the bridge drives the site through your own browser login, and that the model picker gains a 'Harness Web Bridge' group listing every model from every signed-in site. You sign in via Settings → Web Bridge → Log in, not in your daily browser, because the bridge uses its own browser profile.
Nothing appears after installing — what should I check?
The README (Install / Troubleshooting) says to restart dsh web: installing only swaps files on disk while the running process still has the old code loaded, and this is the most common 'it does not work' report. Also confirm the plugin is listed for the web profile.
Can the bridge bypass DSH's tool permissions?
No. The README ('Why') states the web model only proposes calls and DSH runs them with its own permission and approval system — the bridge cannot bypass it.
