waknow/dsh-web-icon-indicator

dsh-web-icon-indicator paints the current DSH session state - idle, running, asking or done - onto the browser tab favicon from a single recolored SVG, with six animation effects, an asking/done priority aggregate, a multi-agent counter and a built-in settings page, so background tabs tell you at a glance when an agent needs attention.

dsh-web-icon-indicator paints the current DSH session state - idle, running, asking or done - onto the browser tab favicon so a background tab shows at a glance whether a session needs attention, with an aggregate priority of asking > running > done > idle and a multi-agent counter; ask_user_question prompts and approval or sandbox-escalation waits pin the icon to asking. It ships a single whale SVG template that is recolored and animated client-side as a data:image/svg+xml URI, so there are no per-color icon files, and offers six built-in effects (static, blink, breath, rainbow, heartbeat, bounce). A built-in Favicon indicator settings page edits every state's color, effect and cycle speed plus the asking/done hold timings with live color-swatch previews, applying changes to the running tab within about a second with no reload, and persists them automatically - to the profile patch on modern hosts or the profile settings.yaml on legacy hosts.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-web-icon-indicator@latest

Copied verbatim from the README's install line; the README also documents dsh plugin --profile web add github:waknow/dsh-web-icon-indicator and a path-or-tarball form.

Compatibility

One bundle serves both DSH settings generations - modern (>= 0.1.7-alpha.1: exported Config schema plus configForms and plugins.bundle.config) and legacy (<= 0.1.6-alpha.1: settings.installSection, settingsScope and settings.plugin.item) - and on any older host the favicon still works even if the settings page is not reachable. Animation uses JavaScript because favicons do not play SVG CSS animations, and animated states keep a wall-clock fallback while requestAnimationFrame is paused in hidden tabs; a visibilitychange listener repaints immediately on return, and if the backend is stopped the tab restores the shell's own favicon from an offline-safe data-URI copy instead of losing its icon.
