walkzzz/dsh-plugin-blender-3d
dsh-plugin-blender-3d lets an agent drive 3D modeling through a JSON bridge - create primitives, run boolean CSG, transform, assign materials and modifiers, query the scene and export STL/OBJ/PLY/GLTF/GLB - with a headless trimesh/manifold3d runtime by default and an optional Blender add-on for full power.
dsh-plugin-blender-3d lets an agent drive 3D modeling through a JSON bridge. It registers the blender_model tool (create_shape, boolean, transform, duplicate, delete, rename, material, modifier, mesh_edit, scene, selection, scene_clear, camera, light, render, export, import, script, command, document) and the lightweight blender_scene summary tool, and contributes a blender-3d-modeling skill that is auto-installed into $DSH_HOME/skills on first load if absent. Create primitives, run boolean CSG, transform, assign materials and modifiers, query the scene and export STL, OBJ, PLY, GLTF or GLB. AIB_PORT (default 13082), AIB_HOST (127.0.0.1) and AIB_PYTHON (python3) configure the bridge.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-plugin-blender-3dCopied verbatim from the README's Install block; the README notes to restart dsh web or let HMR pick it up.
Compatibility
Bundles two interchangeable runtimes speaking the same JSON protocol: the default headless_bridge.py built on trimesh and manifold3d needs no Blender (good for headless servers, CI and the harness), while the blender_ai_bridge/ add-on uses bpy for full Blender power - point the tool at a running Blender by setting AIB_PORT to the add-on's port and the same commands upgrade with no code change. It is OOM-safe by design: heavy geometry never enters the Node/JSON tool channel, exports return a file_path and the agent reads the model from disk with its own file tools, which is the fix for the Node 'Ineffective mark-compacts near heap limit' crash caused by stuffing full meshes into JSON.
