Compatibility
One package supports both DSH configuration generations and detects the host API at runtime — no separate 'old DSH' build. The minimum supported DSH host is 0.1.0-rc.8; a later prerelease is supported only while it retains one of the two settings interfaces. The schema avoids newer-only .volatile() fields so the Schemastery bundled with the earliest legacy host can still load it.
