zzy2210/dsh-subagent-status

dsh-subagent-status is a persistent pill for the y1n-flow delegation panel. A small badge in the top-right of the conversation header shows the model and reasoning effort actually in use by the current session, and clicking it opens a popover with that session's delegation tree — the parent agent, the current session, and each subagent's label, provider, model, effort and status. Opening a subagent session switches the pill to that subagent's own information. Crucially, the values come from real persisted data (each agent session log's request/header, including the final effort injected or overridden by plugins such as y1n-reasoning in the agent/request waterfall) rather than config inference, so discrepancies like 'I dispatched at max but it actually ran at high' are exposed. Effort badges are colour-coded (max red, high orange, medium amber, low green, unset grey) and status dots distinguish running, live-idle and settled subagents.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add file:./packages/y1n-agent-roster

There is no npm package; the README gives a five-step manual profile install. (1) Put this repository at $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/packages/y1n-agent-roster/. (2) Add one line to dependencies in $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/package.json: "y1n-agent-roster": "file:./packages/y1n-agent-roster". (3) Link it into the profile's node_modules (the README's own suggestion is to run the 'dsh plugin --profile web add file:./packages/y1n-agent-roster' command shown here and let pnpm link it). (4) Add one row to $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml: an insert with id 'y1n-agent-roster' and name 'y1n-agent-roster'. (5) Restart DSH. The package name is y1n-agent-roster, not the repository name.

Compatibility

DeepSeek Harness Web (dual-face plugin: main = host half, exports['./client'] = browser half, dsh.client.platform 'web'). Requires the profile to carry the package in node_modules and one cordis.patch.yml row. The host half injects webServer/agents/subagents and registers a same-origin GET route at the dedicated path /y1n-roster (chosen to avoid the occupied /api and /plugins prefixes, so it does not go through the API gateway). The browser half polls that route every 2 seconds.

FAQ

How do I install dsh-subagent-status?
It has no npm package; follow the README's manual profile install: place the repo at $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/packages/y1n-agent-roster/, add "y1n-agent-roster": "file:./packages/y1n-agent-roster" to the profile's package.json, link it into node_modules (or run dsh plugin --profile web add file:./packages/y1n-agent-roster), add a cordis.patch.yml insert row with id and name 'y1n-agent-roster', then restart DSH.
Where does the information come from?
From real persisted values — each agent session log's request/header, including the final effort injected or overridden by plugins such as y1n-reasoning — not from configuration inference, so it can reveal a mismatch between the intended and actual effort.
Which sessions can it show?
The panel follows the currently open session and can enumerate the subagent tree of any session, including sessions from other workspaces; opening a subagent session shows that subagent's own model, effort and status.
