chioplet/dsh-live-progress

dsh-live-progress puts a real task progress bar above the DeepSeek Harness composer: it fills only on real host events, uses a todo_write plan or workflow phases as the denominator, shows an honest indeterminate fill plus real counters when no denominator exists, and stays at 100% as the receipt that the last task ended.

dsh-live-progress puts a real task progress bar above the DeepSeek Harness composer. A slim rounded bar sits full-width in the official conversation.input.dock slot, with one line of text under it describing what is happening right now, which step it is, what has finished and - when there is a real denominator - the percentage. It fills only on real host events (14 event names over HTTP/SSE), uses a session's todo_write plan or workflow/phase reporting as the denominator, and shows an honest indeterminate fill plus real counters (steps, tool calls, responses) when no denominator exists, so it never writes a number it cannot defend. It does not move while the model thinks, 100% only arrives when turn/end or agent/status idle actually lands, history-based estimates are labelled (~42%) and announced, and a failed turn is shown in text. It is accessible (the progressbar role, aria-valuenow and aria-valuetext), degrades to a minimal read-only row on any browser-side error, and has verified offline: 188 assertions across four suites run against the very files the browser and host load.

Install

dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-live-progress

Copied verbatim from the README's npm install block (from npm, recommended), which uses the desktop profile; the README documents a local-checkout form and a manual node_modules form, and says to restart DSH and refresh the page.

Compatibility

Requires DSH with the web conversation UI (@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-conversation) and a profile that can load a dsh.bundle patch (web or desktop). Tested against the DSH desktop profile on Windows, dsh 0.2.0-rc.1; declares peerDependencies @deepseek-ai/cordis ^4.0.0. No build step and no runtime dependencies. English README with a Chinese translation.
