As a model-invoked Agent Skill it responds to prompts like 'release this', 'cut v0.4.2', 'submit to marketplace' or 'publish to PyPI', classifies the request into one of eight release tracks (npm / DSH plugin / cargo / PyPI / PyInstaller exe / Go binary / Rust binary / Electron desktop), runs the per-track steps and verifies every channel agrees on the version before declaring the release done. As a CLI it exposes bootstrap-release and release-exe for manual six-step SOPs (bump + publish + tag + push + RP).
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add @eternalnight/publish-kitCopied verbatim from the README's Install section ('DSH plugin via npm wrapper'), which notes it uses the package's dsh.marketplace metadata. The same section also shows the skill-bundle form (npx skills add https://github.com/EternalNight996/publish-kit) and the global-CLI form (npm install -g @eternalnight/publish-kit).
Compatibility
Works on DSH, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI and Cursor as a directory-bundle Agent Skill; the npm package wraps skills/publish-kit/ as an asset and symlinks into the host skill roots via a postinstall. Requires Node for the CLI, and the release tracks target npm, cargo, PyPI, PyInstaller exe, Go binary, Rust binary and Electron projects.
