jingchangzhao-gif/dsh-note
Long-term markdown memory for DSH agents written in TypeScript with zero runtime dependencies: the agent keeps the important parts in local markdown and recalls only the small relevant chunk later, so context stays small and on-demand. Storage is split into a writing zone (notes, drafts, articles) and a memory zone (per-topic timestamped memory bank), with search, tail-reads and bounded context packets.
dsh-note is the coding agent's durable markdown memory for DSH: instead of carrying a long conversation (and re-paying tokens for it every turn), the agent keeps the important parts in local markdown files and recalls only the small relevant chunk later, so context stays small and on-demand. Its whole value is that it is token-free — every tool is plain local file work (free), and tokens are only spent when the model is actually asked to think, with search, tail-reads and bounded context packets replacing whole-file dumps. Storage is split into two zones that never mix: writing (working notes, drafts, articles, session logs) and memory (the long-term memory bank of per-topic files of timestamped entries, e.g. decisions.md with entries headed ## <ISO timestamp> [title]). Memory files can carry simple front matter (title, tags, type, created, updated, summary). Files can nest inside a zone but names can never escape the zone root, a new note cannot be named with a leading dot in any folder, and unreadable files or subdirectories are skipped so one bad permission never fails a whole listing, recall or search. The README documents its tool set (recall, search, reads and bounded packets) and 17 tools total in the DSH GUI.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:jingchangzhao-gif/dsh-noteCopied verbatim from the README's 'CLI profiles' install block, which notes the CLI forwards the specifier to pnpm; the same README documents a $PWD checkout-path form and the same package working inside the DeepSeek Harness GUI (via the plugin manager for the desktop profile).
Compatibility
A DSH agent memory/markdown plugin (the CLI install forwards the specifier to pnpm). Storage lives under the session workspace in two directories — writing (default ./notes) and memory (default ./memory) — each tool accepting a dir override; reading a zone never creates it, only a write does.
