lffrom0303/dsh-window98-theme

A faithful Windows 98 skin for the DSH web GUI, derived from the classic 98.css design system: teal desktop, silver beveled panels, navy accents, pixelated MS Sans Serif, raised 3-D buttons, sunken text fields and checkerboard scrollbars, with a matching dark "Win98 night" variant. It remaps the full ~90-token --dsw-alias-* layer in light and dark and registers both themes in the picker.

dsh-window98-theme gives the DSH web GUI a faithful Windows 98 look derived from the classic 98.css design system: teal desktop, silver beveled panels, navy accents, pixelated MS Sans Serif, raised 3-D buttons (pressed state included), sunken text fields with the original dropdown arrow, beveled <pre>/<fieldset>, dotted focus outlines, navy ::selection, checkerboard scrollbars and square corners everywhere, plus a matching dark 'Win98 night' variant that keeps the retro bevels on dark gray surfaces. It remaps the full --dsw-alias-* design-token layer (about 90 tokens) in both light and dark modes so every component follows the palette, and registers window98 and window98-dark in the DSH theme picker. It deliberately leaves view tabs, breadcrumb titles, brand pills and badges flat so navigation keeps its native look. Installation applies the skin automatically; a config.mode of window98 / stock enables or disables it, and stock (or the dynamic form) reverts the page fully.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:lffrom0303/dsh-window98-theme

Copied verbatim from the README's Installation block; the README says to restart dsh web for the plugin to take effect, gives a dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-window98-theme uninstall, and documents a one-click dynamic-plugin form that needs no install.

Compatibility

Requires DeepSeek Harness with the web profile enabled; the README tests on the current dsh web release line, needs Node >= 22.19.0 for the package form, and notes that the checkerboard/arrow scrollbar chrome needs a Chromium-based browser (others fall back to token-colored scrollbars). The Client half hot-applies tokens with no refresh, and the Host half injects the stylesheet into every served index.html so the skin survives reloads.
