dsh-deadend is a refutation ledger for coding agents - a memory of what did NOT work. The hard part of negative knowledge is not recording it but invalidating it, so every entry carries anchors: the files whose content would have to change for the failure to stop being true. Unchanged anchors are authoritative and block the retry, while any changed anchor automatically demotes the entry to 'needs re-testing', so a stale block can never lie to the agent.

The problem it targets is not that agents forget, but that they remember badly: every memory system stores what worked, so the same broken install and the same two-hour detour repeat once per session, yet a naive list of things that did not work is worse than nothing because a note written against code that has since changed will confidently block a fix that now works. The fix is anchors: every entry carries the files whose content would have to change for the failure to stop being true, so all-unchanged anchors are authoritative (it still fails; check exits 3), any changed or deleted anchor marks the entry suspect for re-testing (exit 4), nothing known is clear (exit 0), and an entry refused for want of anchors is declined (exit 5). The agent consults the ledger before re-attempting a known dead end instead of paying for the same failure again.

Compatibility
Requires Node >= 20. The sources are plain ESM JavaScript with JSDoc types. The README frames validity as judged by content, not by a clock - there is no MAX_AGE_DAYS and no calibration - because anchors make the ledger self-maintaining. English README with a Chinese explanation.
