OpenCues is native inline AI that the model and host never had, installed at the composer: it watches what you type and answers in the same line. Blanks — a trailing underscore — make the draft the command (a prompt filled in, a rewrite, a translation, an email draft, an ffmpeg command answered on a fresh line), while cues speak up about what you already wrote with no prompt at all (e.g. flagging a date that does not exist, or pointing out that /permissions allow rules beat approving every git command). It is engineered from the ground up to be platform, model and provider agnostic: each host integration pins its own upstream fork and never touches your native host install, and because DeepSeek Harness has a real plugin system it gets a true plugin instead of a fork. The README's examples show a cue that knows the situation you are in (a 💡 cue for approvals, an ⚠ cue for an impossible date) and blanks that turn the model into the command.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add @opencues/dshCopied verbatim from the README's Integrations table (DeepSeek Harness row, status Beta). The README notes DSH is the exception among supported hosts: it has a real plugin system, so there is no fork to pin and no OpenCues CLI step, unlike the Claude Code / OpenCode / Gemini CLI / Chrome / Shell integrations.
Compatibility
The DeepSeek Harness integration installs as a plugin (Beta). The standalone CLI needs Node 22+ and git, but the DSH path is plugin-only: the docs directory integrations/dsh/README.md documents it. OpenCues is described as platform-, model- and provider-agnostic and licensed Apache-2.0 with a published open standard (spec/README.md, spec/blank-spec.md, spec/cue-spec.md).
