8x Skills is a portable agent-skill pack for building, publishing and remixing games on Paean Apps Square (.clide.app / 8x.gg). It ships six skills: paean-skills-update (sync the repo and refresh the installed skill files per host), paean-zero-setup (install Zero CLI and sign in), paean-game-create (create or substantially upgrade a commercially polished, mobile-first Paean web game — art, gameplay, attract-mode previews, responsive UI, pure-JS architecture and Playwright release validation), paean-sdk (integrate cloud save, ranking, paid access/IAP, rewarded ads, multiplayer rooms, AI and sharing), paean-publish (deploy a static frontend to .clide.app as hosting-only or as a public Square listing) and paean-remix.
Install
npm install -g @paean-ai/zero-cliThe publish/remix skills ship as self-contained Node scripts with no npm install of their own; for Zero CLI you copy the skill directories (e.g. 8x-skills/zero/paean-publish) into ~/.zero/skills/, and the README notes the same skills are usable from Claude Code and Codex (or any agent that can read a SKILL.md and run a Node script). The Zero CLI itself installs from npm: '@paean-ai/zero-cli', which was re-verified live on 2026-10-02 at 0.12.12 (its registry repository field points to a8e-ai/zero-cli, MIT). The publish/remix scripts read Paean credentials from ~/.zero/credentials.json or a PAEAN_AUTH_TOKEN environment variable.
Compatibility
Zero CLI, Claude Code and Codex — or any agent that can read a SKILL.md and run a Node script. Zero discovers skills from a project .zero/skills/ or a global ~/.zero/skills/ directory. Credentials come from Zero's saved login, a PAEAN_AUTH_TOKEN env var, or ~/.paean/credentials.json.
