One query across dblp and arXiv for DeepSeek Harness: install @shlv/dsh-literature and you get three model-facing tools - literature_search, literature_bibtex and literature_fulltext. A dblp CoRR mirror, its formal published record and the arXiv preprint collapse into one merged record deduped by arXiv id, then DOI, then normalized title, with authoritative BibTeX chosen automatically and full text acquired from the arXiv LaTeX source, HTML5 rendering or publisher PDF as a background ctx.jobs job.
dsh-literature gives DeepSeek Harness one query across dblp and arXiv. It merges a dblp CoRR mirror, its formal published record and the arXiv preprint into a single record (deduped by arXiv id - derived from the CoRR key when needed - then publisher DOI, then normalized title), picks the authoritative BibTeX automatically (formal dblp entry for published papers, a citation-correct arXiv @misc for unpublished preprints, the CoRR mirror as last resort), and returns stable ids the model can pass straight back. Full text is acquired from the arXiv LaTeX source tarball, then the HTML5 rendering, then the PDF, with DOI-only/landing-page references resolved through a zero-tool subagent; title queries pull the full dblp hit list plus a phrase-quoted arXiv search and rerank by BM25 title similarity so the paper you meant wins.

Compatibility
Installs into any profile (Web or Headless). It registers three model-facing tools (literature_search, literature_bibtex, literature_fulltext) and is transparent about the seam it fills: a shared service reconciles dblp and arXiv rather than asking the model to juggle two databases. Both providers serialize through a rate limiter (arXiv at its documented 3 s interval with exponential backoff on 429/503) so a throttled source never sinks a search, and full-text downloads run as background ctx.jobs jobs so slow publisher sites do not stall the agent loop.
