TYEclipse/dsh-units

dsh-units is a unit-conversion toolbox for DeepSeek Harness covering 22 categories over a static table with zero runtime dependencies: convert_unit, list_units and unit_price answer questions like "how many miles is 100 km", keep MB distinct from MiB and Mbps distinct from MB/s, convert affine temperatures, and normalise unit prices to find the cheapest offer.

dsh-units is a unit-conversion toolbox for DeepSeek Harness that moves unit math out of the model's head. convert_unit converts a value between units within a category (accepting symbols or full names, case-insensitively) and returns the original value, both units, the result, the formula applied and the category; list_units enumerates the 22 categories with every symbol and name; unit_price normalises 1-6 offers onto one target unit and ranks them, rejecting affine temperatures and reciprocal fuel economy instead of returning a meaningless number. The category table spans length, mass, temperature, area, volume including US cooking units, speed, time duration, data size (MB strictly distinct from MiB), data transfer rate (100 Mbps = 12.5 MB/s), acceleration, illumination, pressure, energy, angle, frequency, typography, fuel economy, power (mechanical, metric and electric horsepower distinguished), force, torque, volumetric flow rate and density.

Install

dsh plugin --profile default add github:TYEclipse/dsh-units

Copied verbatim from the README's Install block; the README also documents a local clone-and-build form (pnpm install && pnpm build).

Compatibility

A DeepSeek Harness plugin that runs entirely offline over a static table in src/units.ts - no network, no filesystem, no code execution, no API keys. Symbol disambiguation is documented (for example kn is the knot, nm the nanometer, t the metric tonne), and version notes record each category split.
