WYR-233/dsh-memory-lite

A read-only enhancer for a file-based long-term memory library (markdown cards kept in git) in DeepSeek Harness. A memory_find tool searches the library's cards and returns paths, matched terms and a snippet, and a small memory digest (default ≤900 chars) is appended to the system prompt so the agent knows where the library is and to search it before guessing. It deliberately never writes to the library, never rewrites conversation history, and keeps no database or cache.

dsh-memory-lite is a read-only enhancer for a file-based long-term memory library in DeepSeek Harness. A memory_find tool searches the library's cards (CJK by adjacent bigrams, Latin by whole words, weighted title ×6 / keywords ×4 / body ×1) and returns card paths, matched terms and a snippet for the agent to open with read; a small memory digest (default ≤900 chars) is appended to the system prompt telling the agent where the library is, which topics exist, and to search it before guessing. A Settings page provides a governance dashboard with slider/number thresholds, seven one-click actions and toggles. The reference ranking engine is compiled into the plugin so search works with zero setup, a one-click library scaffold (INDEX.md, a sample topic folder, a sample card and a usage note) uses the host's native directory picker, and a /memory command with a bundled memory-library skill teaches any agent the workflow without a preset. It deliberately never writes to the library, never rewrites conversation history, and keeps no database or cache.

Install

dsh plugin --profile web add github:WYR-233/dsh-memory-lite

Copied verbatim from the README's Install block.

Compatibility

It requires a file-based long-term memory library — markdown cards kept in git with an index file (default INDEX.md) and a search script (default tools/memory-find.mjs) speaking node <script> --stdin --top <n> or --stats — plus DSH with @deepseek-ai/cordis resolvable in the profile. The chosen library path lives in this machine's runtime config, so Windows and Linux each keep their own and nothing is typed by hand.
