zhengjy01/dsh-backup-migrator
Backup and migrate your whole DeepSeek Harness environment through a git repository on GitHub, VSCode-settings-sync style. One command captures per-profile manifests and load order, dsh-*.json configs, locally-developed plugins packed into tarballs, helper scripts and launchd timers under ~/.dsh/scripts, and the user-content layer (~/.agents/skills, presets, adapters, AGENTS.md, settings.yaml and memory); restore reinstalls every plugin by source and rewrites home paths. An optional built-in scheduler runs backups on an interval.
dsh-backup-migrator backs up and migrates your whole DeepSeek Harness plugin environment through a git repository on GitHub, VSCode-settings-sync style. One command captures three layers: the plugin environment (per-profile manifests and load order, ~/.dsh/dsh-.json configs, and locally-developed plugins packed into tarballs so link:/file: sources survive a new machine), assets outside the plugin system (helper scripts under ~/.dsh/scripts plus com.dsh..plist launchd timers, with the source home path and node interpreter rewritten and plists launchctl loaded on restore), and the user-content layer (~/.agents/skills, ~/.dsh/.agent-presets, ~/.dsh/adapters, ~/.dsh/AGENTS.md, ~/.dsh/settings.yaml, ~/.mnemon/runtime memory and ~/.mnemon/documents notes) — then git commit + push, with missing entries skipped so it works on anyone's machine. Restore pulls the same repo, reinstalls every plugin by source (npm/github online, packed tarballs offline), and writes back dsh.profile.bundles, the cordis.patch.yml user patch layer and the config files. An optional built-in scheduler (autoBackup, daily by default) needs no external job and catches up windows missed while the machine slept; backup history is just git history, so you can roll back any day. It exists because a plugin-environment-only backup silently dropped side-service scripts and their launchd timers — a plist without its scripts fires on schedule but fails every run.
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:zhengjy01/dsh-backup-migratorCopied verbatim from the README's Install block (the GitHub form, which the README lists first); the same block documents the published npm form (dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-backup-migrator) and a local-dev link: form.
Compatibility
Requires DeepSeek Harness >= 0.1.5-rc.1 (declared as dsh.engines.dsh, verified against 0.1.5-rc.1) and, since 0.4.4, explicitly declares compatibility with DSH 0.2.0-rc.2 via peerDependencies so no warning appears there. It carries the DSH 0.1.5 adaptations: the strict tool-result contract (lossless-JSON snapshot, additionalProperties:false schema validation, output.render returning ContentBlock[]) and executable resolution that survives a launchd-started host whose PATH is only /usr/bin:/bin. Restart dsh web to load the plugin.
